ISQOLS 2027 Winter Virtual Conference

Wellbeing and Quality-of-Life in a Changing World

February 18–19, 2027 | Online

The International Society for Quality-of-Life Studies (ISQOLS) invites abstract submissions for the 2027 Winter Virtual Conference, under the theme “Wellbeing and Quality-of-Life in a Changing World.”

Our world is undergoing rapid and interconnected change. Political and social transformations, digitalization and emerging technologies, climate and environmental pressures, shifting economic conditions, and evolving patterns of social connection are changing how people live, work, relate to one another, and experience well-being.

These changes raise important questions for quality-of-life research. How are contemporary transformations affecting individual and societal well-being? Why are some individuals and communities better able to adapt to change than others? And how can quality-of-life research help us understand, and respond to, the forces shaping people's lives today?

The 2027 Winter Virtual Conference invites emerging scholars to examine these questions from diverse disciplinary, methodological, cultural, and geographic perspectives. We welcome theoretical, empirical, methodological, and applied research exploring quality of life, happiness, and well-being within the context of a changing world.

Relevant research may address areas such as political and social change; digitalization and artificial intelligence; climate and environmental change; economic and employment conditions; inequality; trust and social cohesion; mental and emotional well-being; loneliness and social connection; institutions and communities; demographic and cultural change; and other contemporary developments affecting quality of life.

Presenter Eligibility:

The ISQOLS Winter Virtual Conference is specifically designed to showcase and support emerging scholars. Abstract submissions are accepted only from researchers who meet one of the following criteria:

• Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree, or

• An early-career researcher within eight years of completing their PhD.

The Winter Virtual Conference provides emerging researchers with an international platform to present their work, receive feedback, exchange ideas, and connect with the global quality-of-life research community.
