2026 ISQOLS Winter Virtual Conference: "Pathways to Inclusive Well-being"

About the Conference

The International Society for Quality-of-Life Studies (ISQOLS) is delighted to announce the ISQOLS 2026 Winter Virtual Conference, a two-day event dedicated to showcasing the work of emerging scholars in the field of quality-of-life studies.

This fully online conference will bring together early-career researchers from around the globe to share innovative insights on the many pathways to inclusive and equitable well-being.

Conference Theme

The theme of the 2026 Winter Conference is: Pathways to Inclusive Well-being.

We welcome contributions that investigate the social structures, opportunities, and connections—both offline and online—that promote thriving communities. In particular, we encourage research on the ways digital interaction and social media influence well-being, from expanding access to opportunities and social support to shaping perceptions, aspirations, and life satisfaction.

Topics of Interest

We invite submissions on a broad range of topics related to well-being and quality of life, including (but not limited to):

• Subjective well-being and life satisfaction

• Mental health and well-being

• Social indicators and societal well-being

• Economic and material well-being

• Environmental well-being and sustainable living

• Cross-cultural perspectives on well-being

• Policy interventions for enhancing quality of life

• Methodological advancements in well-being research

• Digital interaction, social media, and their impact on well-being

Presenter Eligibility

Presenters must be early-career researchers who are:

• Within eight years of completing their PhD, or

• Currently pursuing a PhD or Master’s degree.

This platform is designed to support and amplify the voices of emerging scholars in quality-of-life research.

• Registration Opens: 1 November 2025

• Abstract Submission Deadline: 15 November 2025

• Notification of Acceptance: Early December 2025

• Author Confirmation of Attendance: 15 December 2025

• Conference Dates: 29–30 January 2026

Participation

• Presenters: Must meet the eligibility criteria above.

• Participants: Open to all attendees. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join.

• Technical Requirements: All participants must have access to a computer, stable internet connection, and webcam. The conference will be hosted on Zoom.
