In a landscape increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), understanding and fostering the unique role of human agency is vital. This pre-conference workshop will equip early-stage researchers and practitioners with foundational knowledge and tools to curate the complementarity of natural intelligence (NI) and AI. Participants will explore how leveraging human perspectives and Zeniths (aspirational goals) alongside AI-driven optimization and exposure tools can empower individuals and communities to maintain agency amid AI, and deliberately curate quality of life.

Structured around the A-Frame (Awareness - Appreciation - Acceptance - Accountability) this workshop will offer participants hands-on strategies to maximize the complementarity of NI-AI in the form of HI (hybrid intelligence) . Attendees will learn to identify areas where AI can amplify their natural intelligence, enhance decision-making, and promote personal and collective growth while preserving and strengthening human values and ethical considerations.

By fostering an understanding of how AI and NI can work in harmony, participants will leave with practical insights and methodologies to implement in their research or professional practices, empowering them to contribute to a future where technology augments, rather than diminishes, human agency and social well-being.

Format: Combination of theory and practice, with brief presentations that are combined with exercises and group work.
