How do social relationships help people cope with adversity? This webinar explores whether social capital can mitigate the negative effects of major life challenges on subjective well-being. Drawing on longitudinal and cross-national research, Dr. Fengyu Wu will examine the buffering role of social capital across challenges in the domains of health, work and economic circumstances, close relationships, bereavement, and personal security.
