Abstract: Based on the recently published book of the same title, this webinar presents how quality of life research results can be transferred to policy making, and considers the role of actors in this process---researchers, policy makers, citizens---as well as their interrelationships. It proposes to include actors other than the state in public policy-making related to quality of life and well-being issues, in defining problems and formulating alternatives. It identifies obstacles and facilitators in the process and offers possible pathways for various stakeholders in policy-making to interact with one another in the building of good societies.

Graciela Tonon is Full Professor and Director of the Research Centre in Social Sciences (CICS-UP) at Universidad de Palermo, Argentina. Full Professor and director UNI-COM, Social Studies Institute at Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora, Argentina. Editor International Handbooks of Quality-of-Life Series, ISQOLS-Springer. Vice-president of Publications of the International Society for Quality-of-Life Studies (2019-2022). Secretary Human Development and Capability Association (2016-2022). Author of 27 books, 93 chapters and 62 scientific articles in English and Spanish.

The webinar will be held in English via Cisco Webex and recorded
