Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the International Society for Quality-of-Life Studies has decided to cancel the in-person 2020 Annual Conference that was scheduled to take place August 25-28 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
To support research in quality-of-life and happiness studies in these exceptional times, ISQOLS and the conference committee have organized several options for our accepted authors to present their research, network with others, and exchange ideas. Accepted authors can choose from any of the options listed below. Presenters must be active 2020 ISQOLS members. Please make sure your ISQOLS membership is current by visiting isqols.org and logging on to your membership profile.
We have created a special repository website to collect projects, papers, presentations and sign-up forms for optional webinars. This is a google site that might require a gmail address for access and submissions. If you have any issues accessing the website or submitting materials, please email Jill Johnson (Executive Director for ISQOLS): office@isqols.org

Message from ISQOLS Rotterdam Conference Chair: Martijn Burger
Due to the escalating COVID-19 pandemic we unfortunately have to cancel the Annual Conference of the International Society for Quality-of-Life Studies previously scheduled to take place in Rotterdam on August 25-28. Given where we are in the pandemic, it seems unlikely that we can run a successful conference in Rotterdam with large keynotes, a reception and dinner, and many participants traveling long distances to attend. We received well over 500 abstracts and dozens of special sessions contributions and would like to thank all contributors for the effort they have put in this conference. We hope to host an ISQOLS meeting in Rotterdam in 2022. The next scheduled ISQOLS meeting will take place in Burlington, Vermont, United States in 2021.
To support research in quality of life and happiness studies in these exceptional times, we are working on developing an online mini-conference to be held later this year, specifically focusing on COVID-19 and well-being and we will organize some of the special sessions that were submitted to the ISQOLS 2020 conference online. Read more regarding the call of papers for the COVID-19 workshop here. More details on the special sessions will follow shortly (for those who applied to one of these).
Best wishes,
Martijn Burger
