Aging and Migration in Rural Areas

Thursday, 13 February

9:00am EST/3:00pm CET

Presenter: Dr. Hossein Mousazadeh; and guest speakers Dr. Joe Sirgy, Dr. Zoe Taylor, Dr. Jason Ware

The International Society for Quality of Life Studies (ISQOLS) is hosting a webinar exploring the intersections of aging, migration, and community quality of life (CQOL) in rural areas. As rural communities face increasing demographic shifts with aging populations and new migrant residents, unique challenges and opportunities arise in addressing health disparities, social integration, and infrastructure needs. This webinar will highlight innovative research on adapting CQOL frameworks to rural contexts, emphasizing the importance of community services, environmental quality, and social connections in shaping the well-being of vulnerable populations. By bridging theory and practice, this session aims to provide actionable insights for fostering sustainable, resilient, and inclusive rural communities.
